There was another Hebburn Drill Hall and ranges for the Newcastle Rifles where Reyrolle bottom works was built. Tennent's, colour works, Tharsis etc.also mentioned. That drill hall probably closed around 1900 ish.

I will probably have to have a trip to the Discovery Museum in Newcastle.

That will have to wait until November as going away on holiday for 4 to 6 weeks. Just hope sites have WiFi working so that I can do further research.

I wonder if the Fusiliers museum in Alnwick has info.?
