They all may have been boiling during the day and the late wind could have brought a chill.
That used to be around time that sailing ships set sail and all the better if there was an ebb tide.
It’s or was normal for any wind to turn into an off shore wind in the evening.
Used to know all the old sailors tales from my diving days.
