My son in law is descended from the Smith side of the Ringtons empire and the company is still very much based in the North East with still a lot of family descendants on the board of directors. A lot of their business is done overseas now , especially in the U.S.A.
The wife of the late T.V presenter Jonny Irwin is also part of the larger Ringtons family.
