Early 60's memories

When Jean and I were regulars at the Oxford on a Saturday night it was mainly Ballroom with only a short mid session devoted to pop.
It was all played by the wonderful Don Smith Band, supported by the singer Kay Rousselle.
So little of that twist stuff sticks in my mind. My back breaking usually came while Jean attempted to teach me the quickstep and not to step on her best white "heels"!!
