When the tap and pay first started, I was sent a card by my bank. I thought I would use it in the Supermarket. As I waited for the assistant to tell me to tap, before I did it, the machine was giving her my receipt. Oh she said it’s already worked. I sent the card back. Got the old type, I still put my card number in the machine, I have apologised to assistants about not having the “tap” card and been told often lots of people don’t use it, which was a surprise to me.
