If anyone is interested, the church was designed by John Dobson and erected in 1832 at a cost of £6000. Grade II listed. What gets me is that I come across scores of ecclesiastical buildings with references to John Dobson. It is impossible for him to have designed all that people credit him for. Such is the Central Station with his design won the Paris exhibition 1854-6? That fact is Dobson had a stroke and Thomas Prosser finished it off. I reckon Dobson approved other designs and allowed his name to reap the credits!
