That is very interesting Stan. Other famous personalities did similar. An example is Gilbert & Sullivan. They had teams of musical experts who knew the styles of both Sullivan's music and Gilberts libretto. Just how much was down to the phantom writers we will never know - and perhaps its best left that way. For certain, we are blessed with some wonderful buildings dedicated to Dobson and musical pieces to G & S. Never-the-less, in future I will look at Newcastle's buildings with a ...hmmm? in mind. Dobson and Grainger? Gilbert and Sullivan? Like the song says. "You can't have one without the other" .....can you?
