In the 1950’s it was owned by Mr and Mrs Beck, they had one son called Stanley. I remember the couple who bought it , but can’t remember their name. They had two sons. In the 1950’s there was a shop next door called Avery, I think they sold fruit and veg. I remember a large plaster bunch of bananas. My sister told me their were bananas as we didn’t have bananas just after WW2.
