Recently I was asked 'How big was the Slag Heap?' so thought I'd answer using this photo.
Ive added the location of where the photographer stood with Finchale Rd Estate to the right.
The trees in the distance was a 'Rookery' in the grounds of Monkton Home and home to Crow's (called 'Rooks').
