I suppose it's where you live, and where you get your forecasts.

I follow the weather VERY closely, as I run a dog boarding kennel & cattery, so need to know the overnight low temps (for heating requirements) and possible rain/snow, when I need to walk the dogs..

I use an APP on my phone, which is VERY good, but also monitor the local weather forecast on local TV, and tie the two together, so usually have a pretty clear picture over the next 24/48 hours, but also monitor the sky/wind direction when I'm out walking....

But you were checking weather for the 5th January? Any forecast I've ever seen is only good for a couple of days, if that.

Anything beyond maybe 3 days is always subject to change, and always has been, despite modern technology.
