This is a rare old photo showing where Mr Alphonse Reyrolle first started in 'little old Hebburn' all those years ago. Eventually Reyrolles were employing upwards of 12,000 well paid people from not just Hebburn but all around the area. All done without Government Grants like Companies get today.
Sadly Mr Reyrolle & the top Directors like Mr Clothier who helped him are all forgotten. Nothing in the Town to commemorate these men who did so much for our area.
