This photo from 1947 doesnt show the Windermere Cres Estate because it wasnt built until around 1950/51.My parents moved into Grasmere Rd on that estate about 1952/3 & the Slag Heap & Lakes became a playground for me and my mates.The little girl married Peter O'Neil a Hebburn man who worked for the Post Office in the Quay.
