I recall those poor kids drownings only too well. The mortuary was St.John's scouts hut just inside the arch as you enter Ellison Hall. I lived in Quarry Rd and recall a kid drowning in the quarry. Norman knows what the silt was and I recall oil drums floating on it but not enought to support a child....
