All GP's Surgery's in the UK should be run the same as any other UK business, meaning the Patient personally pays them for the 'service' they've had off the GP via a personal NHS Debit Card they would have been issued with by Government.(ie a Medical Card)
Paying GP Practises automatically for the number of patients they have on their books is the big problem.
For most of my 70 + years, I rarely visited a Doctor, BUT my GP Practise was still being paid because I was 'on their books'.
This would definitely solve the Problem! but would any Government be brave enough to implement it?
