Reading more about the Torrance shipbuilding company whetted my appetite for more. There appears to have been a phenomenal number ships built by by Torrance and co. They had a preference to begin the names of all their ships with the letter S. Can someone quantify roughly how many were actually built. I have come across some figures but find them to be difficult to believe.
