The theatre fire started late one Friday night in Oct 1950.I was in bed age 6 when my dad told me I won't be going to the Saturday matinee cos the Theatre is on fire. I was allowed to go downstairs and watch the firemen fighting the fire from our front door 14 Lyon St.The fire is recorded as Oct 7th 1950.
