It will take new Councillors quite a time to work out which of the permanent officials who run the show "day to day" they can trust to deliver.
My experience is that they are not keen on being challenged and asked to explain decisions.
And when they do there are shades of Sir Humphrey in the answers.
Don't expect much to change in the first 6-9 Months.
