Hebburn had its own little Power Station as you can see on the aerial view. Before it was demolished, Hebburn people asked if part of it could be left standing so it could be made into a Club for the young people.So they got their wish and the young people rallied round and created what a lot of us remember simply as 'The Powerhouse'.
Young people from Towns around our area became regulars there and some of them met their partners there. What a GREAT Club it was..
