My Mam, Jean Gordon, went on a pilgrimage partly funded by a charity event hosted by Hebburn Legion. I believe that Alan and Nora Arcus were instrumental in its organisation.
For that …. and for the friendship shared between them and my parents, they will always be remembered fondly..
Oh! and of course, it’s another reason to call in there for a pint when I come ‘home’ to visit 🤔😉
