I keep contact with friends all over the country and many are saying they refuse to use the bins as they have created an infestation of maggots. This system is just not working anywhere. The recent heat has added to the problem. Another problem is the urban fox who manages to open the bin even though it is locked by the handle! He knows how to open it!
