your point is well taken regarding fuel but the Argentinians are also in the market to obtain air to air tankers for precisely that reason.
The Argentinian air force is very professional and the F16 is still a very capable aircraft, one for one inferior to the Typhoon or our carrier operated F35B but we very few Typhoons (?2) operating out of the Falklands and only two aircraft carriers.
I have been to Argentina and the Falklands and I can understand the emotion and national pride from both the sides, I only hope a diplomatic solution is found before more young lives are lost.
