I'm with Sky too Mac, since yesterday. My Broadband supplier has been NowTV which was a subsidiary of Sky. They are putting every NowTV customer onto Sky.
New router, faster service, more channels and Netflix thrown in. Anyway, the fitter said they were closing down the old phone systems in January of next year. The chap yesterday installing the router just plugged my home phone into the back of the new router and tested the line. All ok. Still had problems though. The dual band router kept crashing the laptop (BSOD) and you cannot get onto the routers to turn off 5G. Older laptops like mine cannot handle the dual band, well the onboard modem cannot. So, I'm using a wi-fi USB dongle to get the internet. I hate change and were always having to get used to something different.
