Sorry Patrick, but I have to agree with Malcolm. I think back to having to attend Mass every Sunday, and the then pillars of the church were often very unkind to people who were not at Mass every Sunday. I remember a dear lady who was a good Catholic in Hebburn, then one of her children did not conform. This lady told my Mum, her good church going friends, now crossed the road rather than to speak to her. Now I would say they were not good Christians.
