I am furious

Recently 24th Feb I took my 76 yr old bro in law to the Freeman Hospital to return the Heart Monitoring device he was issued with the previous week.
I parked in the drop off bays which were all empty. After the apparatus was dropped off at the Cardiology we drove off.
TODAY in the post I've had a Parking Charge Notice issued for overstaying the 10 mins max drop off by 4 mins (yes FOUR Mins) & the fine is £70.
I will be fighting this & have already been intouch with the people at the Hospital that are involved with parking.
IN Bonny Scotland, its much easier cos parking is FREE

Let’s hope you get somebody sensible who cancels it! It is the most annoying thing when we’re just doing ordinary things, in fact a good deed on your part.
At least you’re not in London. My daughter lives in Lewisham and I’ve had a couple of tickets outside her house, one because I put LTT instead of LLT for the reg in the app. There’s just no leeway.
On a happier note, during covid I was stressed, needing the loo on way back from London, near Dorking. I shouted at them in the garden centre for closing the toilets. I drove into Dorking remembering there were toilets by the car park.
Still stressed I was trying to get my daughter’s little dog to come with me and then I saw the parking attendant coming towards me. I started apologising and he held his hand up calmly and said “ Don’t worry, just do what you need to do. This is not London” He was so lovely.
The stress just drained away and all was ok again. I remember him often. I was so grateful.

Norman you just have to accept that you goofed. We have a drop off point, time limited but never seen any problems there.

However if you go into the adjoining car park the first 20 min. Is free, it used to be 30 min. Any time over that up to 4 hours £4.
There used to be a I think first hour for £1.30.

The hospital car park uses an ANPR system so I assume not a lot but the damm machines do cause problems, there are three and each slightly different in operation. Had to help a few people pay.

Norman I agree with you. We've had 'skanks' booking disabled old ladies Christmas eve from a company who works for Liverpool council. All because they could. No uniform just a camera in the pocket. How do these nasty little ratbags sleep at night.?

My Fine has been cancelled

As I said yesterday I will fight this £70 fine for accidentally over staying 4 mins in a drop off/pick up bay.
Well I did & I've just had an email to say the Fine has been cancelled.
BUT How many poor people dont contest it and just pay 'Parking Eye' the Fine?
