Digital landline

Our landline was turned off yesterday and we are now digital. If the modem goes off, so does the phone. I was surprised to chat to neighbours and my daughter and none of them are having a landline as they all use their mobiles. My friends’ are all sending me their mobile numbers. I still don’t like my mobile, I prefer the landline. I’m telling myself I must try harder to get used to it.

God only knows how we will get on with that, mind you we haven’t had any notification yet, but our mobile phones don’t work in part of our house, wonder how we are meant to contact emergency services should we need to?

We haven’t even got fibre yet, maybe we should invest in a few pigeons??

That can be difficult Liz. I was worried about it working but we just plugged it into the BT socket, then plugged the phone into the modem. I thought we might wait for it connecting, but it worked immediately. I find my landline phone better as I can hear clearer. It must be awful for elderly people who are not on the internet.
