Further to the Durham Court Flats situation

As I said in my last Post about the prospective demolition of Hebburn's 'Durham Court Flats', will all High Rise Flats come under the same rule ? ie 'They are 50 years old and passed their sell by dates'?????
My photo below shows 3 High Rise Flats in Walker, about a mile from Durham Court built much earlier in 1962 & no mention that Newcastle Council want them demolished.
Isnt this very strange?
What do Hebburn Councillors or our MP think about this?
Can someone put this on Face Book to highlight this.

Norman, I think the people who live in the flats should have a meeting with their local councillor. Or perhaps get a local newspaper interested.

A TV Reporter visited the Flats and it was on our Local TV News a few daays ago. Some residents spoke up & basically said 'we are a little community here & we all know & help each other & wanted this to be our final home' (or words to that effect)
One old man said 'I'm not moving so they'll have to demolish it with me in it'.
Some people are saying there is something fishy about this.

I thought I'd see if the TV Programme is on Youtube & a shorter version is on. People like because Peter Tallack isnt on it & he spoke a lot of sense.

I recognise the lady called Emily Rice. I didn’t know her personally, but remember her face. The flats look really nice and well cared for. The money the council collects every year, 12 million is not a lot for them to spend on a building. It will probably cost more to demolish it and remove the debris.
