So nostalgic if you have Irish blood

My Grandparents on both sides were Scottish and Irish and that is probably why this simple tune 'gets to me'.

PS if you leave it to the end and enjoy it another version starts.

Thank you Norman, it’s always lovely to hear, brings back memories of my sisters Irish friends get together in London. It’s was always one of the songs they sang. Another was “ I’ll take you home again Kathleen”. I have to admit I was young and would rather have pop songs, but looking back they are lovely memories.

Hi Maria,
My late sister Marian used to go out with an Irish lad from Swinford Co Mayo. He was working over here when she met him but that was many years ago.
My great granny was Rosena Campbell from Leitrim & came to Scotland with her parents and siblings during the Irish famine and I dont think its very far from Co Mayo.

Maria - there is an international airport at Knock, Co Mayo. The nearest airports in the UK offering flights there are Manchester and Edinburgh.
