If you panic and get out of the market now, you lose. I expect it to keep going down for a while. The market is still vastly over valued. In other words companies are valued much higher than they ought to be, based on their earnings. I'm surprised the bulls drove the market this high for this long. It was ready for a fall (correction).

Long term, it will come back, but it will take a while.

The proposed tariffs are not designed to be permanent, but to be a bargaining chip to get others to get rid of their trade barriers. Some countries are coming to the bargaining table to do something about their tariffs on us. Maybe if it costs these other countries something, they may do something other than talk about making things fair.

It will all work out some day. In the meantime, it gives partisans something to cry about.
