I think I developed it over time.

Whenever I read an article or listen to a broadcast, my brain filters out the political stuff and also the religious arguments. I don't always catch everything, but where many statements that are political or religious in nature are pretty obvious.

That just leaves the 'facts' - and if I have the time and interest I will try to verify those 'facts'. Sometimes the facts reported aren't even facts.


I think its a rarity to find a fact reporting, unbiased news outlet. At various times I've caught both sides only telling their side of it. I no longer have confidence in the news.


Of course if it's an editorial, I get that opinion and judgment will enter into it and other views.
