Back around 1973, Myself and two friends were parked out by Mammoth Creek out by the Old Mammoth Road and I was talking Skip on my Ham Radio and enjoying the nice Summer weather in the Eastern Sierra.

I was parked facing West toward the Sierra Crest about an hour after sundown when a bright light came through Mammoth Pass and the Minarets, It split into 3 lights and the lights were almost playing Tag around Mammoth Mountain. After watching these lights for about a minute, the lights joined together and took off vertically at a speed I can't imagine.
