You probably remember the saying "Farmers live poor and die rich." I am certainly no exception there. We had a lifetime of just getting by, and it gets to be a habit. Use checks for necessities and needs, but pay for wants with cash. When it is all gone for the month, it is all gone.

I wish there were bigger coins, like $20 and $100 coins, but that will never happen. It would be nice to have the jingle in your pocket actually worth something.

I think the rounding of pennies is probably a good thing, as long as it is a two way street. If they round up and down with change, then I ought to be able to round up and down when I pay. (The newer pennies corrode so easily when wet, we are ashamed to spend them) It all works out after enough time.

Some places I go to round, others still give you a penny or two. Will be glad when all places transition to rounding.
