it's worth noting this is NOT just an NYC problem. Consider:
Wendy's: Planned to close up to 350 U.S. locations during the first half of the year.
Pizza Hut: Scheduled to close 250 underperforming U.S. stores.
Papa Johns: Intends to close roughly 200 units as part of a restructuring plan extending toward 2027.
Noodles & Company: Planning to cut another 30 to 35 company-owned location
Quiznos, Crumbl,Steak n SHake, KFC, and Pizza Hut are all showing serious signs of struggle
