To me it is a lifelong journey in the Christian faith based on three particulars: knowing the Gospel ( the good news and story of Jesus’ life and purpose as detailed in the Biblical books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), accepting the Gospel, and trusting the truth of the Gospel.

That growth leads to an understanding of God’s purposes from Genesis through Revelation, the best love story ever written, reminding me of Anselm’s often criticized quote: “that than which nothing greater can be thought” when he offered it as a proof of the existence of God. But as the whole story goes, it is apt.

God created a perfect earth and us to enjoy it with Him. He didn’t need us. He is a triune God and in fellowship/ communication with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. But His love was that we enjoy the beauty of Creation with Him. The gift of freedom of choice resulted in the ability of man to sin. Thus, evil entered the world.

Those who choose to live for His glory experience the full effect because it is for His glory and our good. They aren’t separate ideas.

The perfect world that awaits us as souls shedding our earthly tents is for our good. Jesus died that our sin would not separate us from a Holy God who could not look on it, and it must be accounted for.
