I have not done much research on the phenomenon and cause of aging.

Many sources of information seem to indicate that aging is a function of oxidation of the physical components of the body. There are even huxsters promoting "antioxidant" formulations, offering suckers false hope of extended lifetimes. Without going into a lot of detail, because, as I said, I am short on details on the subject, I suspect that aging is an inescapable part of the program embedded in our DNA. DNA provides the logistics for physical and mental development, so why not aging? Your thoughts? And, if you know more details on the cause of aging, please elaborate on your understanding of the process.
