I have not done much research on the phenomenon and cause of aging.

Many sources of information seem to indicate that aging is a function of oxidation of the physical components of the body. There are even huxsters promoting "antioxidant" formulations, offering suckers false hope of extended lifetimes.

Without going into a lot of detail, because, as I said, I am short on details on the subject, I suspect that aging is an inescapable part of the program embedded in our DNA. DNA provides the logistics for physical and mental development, so why not aging?

Your thoughts? And, if you know more details on the cause of aging, please elaborate on your understanding of the process.

How about tis, from Google:

The Second Law of Thermodynamics applies to the human body!

How does that 2nd law apply to human development programming embedded in DNA?

I don't see the connection.

I think it suggests that DNA is the basis for life which ends in death

vs permanence.

What if we gradually replace all our body parts and brain cells one at a time?

Some people say that would be immortality.

Some people say the new life would not be the same person.

Obviously it's not possible with current technology.

It might be an opportunity for some folks to escape from themselves.

Civilizations decay. As do the people and parts therein. Like everything organic

that comes out of the soil, we too go back to soil. Even aluminum and stainless steel eventually break down. Were we derived from gold and not carbon we might live forever. But that’s not possible.

Every machine breaks down becoming obsolete and needs to be replaced...

...and an organic machine is no different.📠

Things fall apart.

The centre cannot hold...

My question was ...

... do we fall apart like iron does from rust?

... or ...

... is our decline pre-programmed in our DNA?
