We get far too much media coverage about Criminals. All we need is the trial, conviction, and sentence. All the attention and coverage encourages more crime to get fame.

Meanwhile, I found Kirk's own words and views strange. Nevertheless, assassination is not something I like to see encouraged.

Nor the double standards based on the victim's political views. Horror if the person has your political view, but silence, or glee, if the victim has opposite views.

He was still republican. He was still a christian morman. He's a white cisgen with a gun.

THIS is why I will never return to Christianity. The nose in the air, uppity, "I am never wrong" attitude. I at least am willing to discuss instead of demand.

My life lessons have been far harder than you know or think. Perhaps one day I'll share them all but for now, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop assuming.

I am willing to bet the shooter's partner will become the center of attention, and people will try to blame them for the shooter's radicalization, as you call it.

The man is obviously deeply disturbed. Something broke inside to drive him to violence. We may never understand it all. There were references to video games, anti-fascism, and a homophobic slur. It's amazing that he is very smart, yet got absorbed in something dark.

You ignore the lives of the Charlie Kirk’s, the Billy Grahams, the R.C. Sprouls, the G.K. Chester tons,
the John Mac Arthur’s, the John Pipers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, all of whom admit their sin, and of Jesus Christ the sinless one.

Instead you focus on the sins (the ones you consider to be sins) of the weaker among us who are silly enough to want to share Christ, however miserably we do it, with those who need Him - not us - so much.

You are free to do that. Ignoring the Christ of Christianity while choosing to focus on SOME of his weaker followers will do nothing to save your soul. But then you can choose to believe you have none.

You have posted much of your suffering on this board. Believe it or not I have seriously cared for you, prayed for you, wanted so much more for you, and believed that faith in Christ would bring you a kind of peace and grace beyond understanding that would bless you beyond measure because that’s what it has done for me, and for my family.

You make me crazy because I sometimes think you want to suffer, and persist in thinking in ways that guarantee you will, as you poison your own self. I know you won’t believe or care about any of that but I wanted to say it.

they hid their sins while taking money from people hand over fist. Talk about disingenuous. There's a back story, but the reason I left Christianity is simple. I was working as a missionary to Quebec in a traveling choir (BTW the one thing Christianity has going for it is the music).

During that time, I also served as a nanny to the Minister's two children. Over time, I saw him say one thing and do the opposite, and even rebuke people for those actions. I saw the misuse of people's donations. For a while, I stayed for the children. I adored them, but I got to a point where I felt I was trapped in a web of deceit, and I didn't want to add more threads to it.

I don't argue that there are good Christians in the world. I am friends with several. We have civil talks about religion, but never get into the "I'm right, you're wrong" which makes conversation nearly impossible.

I am glad you find peace in your faith. That is how it should be. I find peace in mine. No suffering, just living day to day, doing what I can when I can to help in my own backyard.

I know your prayers are well-intended and kind, but they won't change my faith of over 40 years, one that I love, one that brings me peace and a global vision. One where I can study other belief systems and discover the underlying connection. Instead of examining the differences between the faiths, I look for those things on which all agree. The golden rule comes immediately to mind.

I have no ill will toward you but I stand in my convictions.
