With their unique quality of longevity, seeming
to push the borders of eternity, they might be
the best bet for intelligence to hook up with a
humanity in the far future.

I wonder where US would be if we had not gotten
to Von Braun n his crew before the Soviets could
get him, considering how the USSR had a jump
into space and had everyone concerned about
Sputnik I and Sputnik II and a little puppy dog
they sent up and brought back. Alive !! and all
the other stuff US had to play catch up to, too.

It is important to remember, back in those days,
that was American tax dollars helping to finance
the endeavor to Space, until enough individuals
with enough individual wealth developed enough
individual interest to attempt an individual step
into space.
