At the South Rim, I’d recommend the South Kaibab Trail…
From the trailhead to Cedar Ridge. It’s incredible views and about 3 miles round trip and takes about 3 hours. https://www.nps.gov/places/000/south-kaibab-trail.htm We spent a day there last fall. Stopped there between staying in Page, AZ and Sedonda, AZ. Stayed at a Best Western just south of The south rim. Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn. We didn’t really come across any great places to eat, mostly ate what was convenient.
