I doubt there's a big difference between the top online providers. And I'd guess pretty much all of the companies they represent are highly rated and perfectly safe. And it's pretty simple to check ratings.

That would be how I would buy term insurance. No need for an agent in that case.

Though I'd use a spam email account and maybe a burner phone!
