The term policies I signed up for when I got married are about to expire. Probably still need some coverage until mini graduates.

The 20 year term policy I got a few years after getting married expired a couple of Decembers ago.

Still have a 30 year term policy with maybe 8 years left on it? Will put me at about 60 and my youngest at 23. Maybe I won't need another policy?

After the 20 year policy expired I told mrs. Effin that she lost out on faking my accidental death. Guess she still has time on the other one.

Yeah, I don't really need much in terms of time and my financial need is much lower.

I have a policy that's going to expire in the next year or two, but doubt we're going to do anything to renew it.

I doubt there's a big difference between the top online providers. And I'd guess pretty much all of the companies they represent are highly rated and perfectly safe. And it's pretty simple to check ratings.

That would be how I would buy term insurance. No need for an agent in that case.

Though I'd use a spam email account and maybe a burner phone!
