I think the before and after pictures give people a distorted view of what Fletch does.

There was an article fairly early in his tenure describing how he tests for everything, balance, flexibility, agility, strength, and develops an individual plan for each player. He noted, for instance, that Michael Finke had a lot of work to do on flexibility before they could even start on increasing his strength.
Also, I expect if you stopped shooting and hit the weights for 6 months, then started shooting again, it could throw you off. These guys are shooting every day. I don't see how that could create a problem.
