So $3.94/bu today is almost nothing….even if they can squeeze out 50 more bu per acre today compared to back then.

The WASDE report came out today. The previous report predicted an average US corn yield of 181 bushels per acre, the expectation was an increase to 184. The real number was 188.8, and a record total crop. Corn futures dropped 13 cents to $3.94.
Soybeans jumped as a smaller harvest was predicted, but I believe it would still be the 5th highest production ever if the number holds. Bean prices still suck.
