Ripping packs was fun at first when I was reacclimating myself with the hobby but I quickly realized I'd rather just directly buy the cards that I want. Flipping through the bins and coming across something cool to add to my collection is close enough to the thrill of the box chase and doesn't require the gamble/storage/disposal.
