It's easy to go "up" to Advantage, harder to go down. MA plans have been too expensive and restrictive. A good Medigap policy with a suitable deductive for the individual is usually the way to go.
I only pay $75 per month with a high-deductible plan, chosen because of a lifetime history (so far) of almost no charges. That may be as low as someone can go.
My basic part D has no monthly charge for now.
