i think we can upgrade there, but i think the talent on the roster held us back more than Henry. easy for Bret to talk himself into retaining Henry. Defense was almost the same in 2025 from 2024 in terms of FEI (55 in 2025, 57 in 2024.)

we are really bad at running the football and have been during Bret's tenure. Even when we had C Brown his YPC was only 5.0, which is not great statistically. he was skilled enough to break off enough long ones to go 1 yard, 1 yard, 3 yards, 15 yards, that sort of thing. if you look at the average YPC for the top 50 backs in a given year it is usually above 6.0. All that to say, i would like to move on from Bart Miller. don't know if we will.

something to be said for coach retention and knowing what you are going to get from the coaches. i'll trust Bret on those decisions.
