There’s 1 or 2 of those misses that Caleb could have made the throw on, sure. But no other QB is expected to throw downfield while running sideways and backwards away from rushers quite like Caleb is. I have widely criticized his inaccuracy earlier this season, but the throws he missed tonight were nothing like the ones he was missing before.
And in the two times the Bears got a stop, it was because Purdy bounced a throw in front of his intended WR because he was backpedaling with pressure in his face. Because those aren’t easy throws!! But no one says a word when the other guy does it.
