...this cannot be sustainable at the current velocity and unpredictability.
Wealthy people don't get wealthy by losing money... and at some point, guys who effectively steal cash and then go to the next green plot of grass for more are doing effectively that... and since nobody can enforce a contract, it gets chalked up to being a free market...
