He said he thinks there’s going to be a lot of unfilled promises with the above-revenue-share deals because they’re going to be rejected once they’re submitted to the CSC portal. He also acknowledged they might never be submitted, which I think is the right answer.
Anyway, my sense from his comments was that we’re only marginally supplementing above the revenue share numbers. But I’m not sure if he was just putting on to maintain appearances.

He’s as much a part of this athletic department as anyone. Accordingly, I can’t see an outcome where he doesn’t pony up another $3-5M. I just don’t see a guy like that allowing Whitman and Bert to twist in the wind when they need help.

But now it does kinda seem like these guys, particularly Coenen and McCollum, realized they could get more elsewhere and we weren’t counting on having to pay them that kind of money. Which now is a problem because we’ve invested the available money elsewhere.
