The Deuce: for the last 12 months or so my expectation of next year is "just make a bowl game"

and that hasn't really changed.

some shifts of the football landscape and the realities of the portal make things a bit different (I think we have more returning than I expected and parts of our schedule are perhaps less doom-y?)

I would consider 7-6 next year a rousing success... I'm kinda looking forward to seeing a team that is on the rebound and seeing who steps up.

and of course the events in Bloomington over the last 24 months have completely ruined all expectations...

but are we basically at the upper limits of where we are in the world right now?

(you can ask the same thing in basketball, is being somewhere around #10 basically our upper boundary?)
