I know what they were going for, but that 2022 backfield was seriously next level. Witherspoon is an all time great and brown is just a way better athlete than Bailey. Xavier Scott = Quan Martin is probably the only comparison that is somewhat like for like to me.
That all said, I do have decently high hopes for the DB’s if Clarke, Bailey, and Scott are healthy.

I feel pretty good about the entire team outside of our current Dline pickle. Hopefully we can add enough to make it at least serviceable, I'm not sure where we stand in terms of depth, etc., but know it is still a need.
Maybe we can win 8+ and 2027 will be the transition year. I think we'll be able to "reload" as well as many Big Ten teams but it's hard to predict the future with the portal.

This is still a fledgling program, and not having a DL is just... well... it's almost a guarantee of failure in the Big Ten, regardless of anything else.
